The digital transition sure did make things complicated for a good amount of people.

The way in which the frequency travels is different and many broadcast stations switched their frequency type in which they transmit their programming (UHF,VHF)

We all read the headlines of how your local Cable Operator has increased subscriptions in huge volumes and how the Satellite Companies have more HD content and lower prices but what about the real world. What is really going on in the real world where people are being laid off from their jobs. The real world where families are moving back home to share space due to the expense of everyday life! Lets face it, times are tough and the economy wont fix itself overnight. Here at Channel Master we see a huge movement in sales generated by the consumer that is searching for "FREE" entertainment. Many people believe they have to wait to June 12th for the digital transition to start. This is just not true. Nearly all of the TV stations in the country are already broadcasting digital and HDTV programming. If you have an analog TV and are using a TV antenna or rabbit ears you can simply get a digital to analog converter box like our CM-7000 and start enjoying DVD quality pictures, program guide information and many more channels than you get with analog broadcast, and it is all available right now. Unlike analog broadcast where channel 5 for example is one channel, with digital, this one channel can carry several different programs. Omni-directional antennas were a nightmare in an Analog world! Ask anyone who used them and they each have a similar story of the difficulty with which working with Omni-directional antennas presented. Let me reiterate that that was then (Analog) and this is Now (Digital)!
Many reception issues like ghosting, blurry pictures or co channel interference are a nightmare of the past. These problems were do to interference of other analog transmissions for the most part.
